Missing HJT-1935 Tube Coupler from Estes 1350 Interceptor E
Hello,
I have an ebay purchase that is missing the HJT-1935 Tube Coupler for an Estes 1350 Interceptor E. Any suggestions on how to work around this? is there a tube size that fits inside these tubes? Thanks! |

Get a 2" section of the same body tube and cut a 1/8" section out of it lengthwise. Use the slit tube as a coupler.

It will work.
Often the best solutions to problems are the simplest ones. I would use epoxy on the coupler. Takes a while to bond and penetrates the surface to be extremely strong.

Estes sells 2” couplers. However, the new 2” PS II tube is slightly smaller than the 2” tube on the Interceptor-E (quick check was roughly .010-.012” smaller diameter). I tried my Interceptor-E nose cone in a PS II Prowler and it was very tight. If you get one of the new couplers, it will be slightly loose, so gluing a wrap of paper around it to snug up up fit would be another way to solve your problem.

Double check inside the tubes. Sometimes the coupler is stuck inside.
Happened to me the other day. I thought I would have to make one.

Just checked my Interceptor-E kit. The coupler IS stuck in one of the tubes in my kit also.
