The newer Q2 igniters with the thicker wires and the wider spacing of the wires on the glass bead work better than the Estes ingiters in the hands of complete newbies. I've witnessed about a thousand of them over the last few years.

Call Quest when placing an order and they will tell you if you're getting German or Chinese motors and if the igniters will be Q2 or Q2G2.

I guess it's a semantics thing... But in the context of economics, a rocket motor is a durable good rather than a service, etc.

Didn't they teach econ at Cal Tech?

I think that would be considered just a good. Two categories are "Goods" and "Services". Durable goods is a subcategory of goods and normally refers to items such as appliances (long term use items) as opposed to expendable goods (short term or one-time use like motors and band-aids). But the last economics class I took was over 35 years ago and my memory found it hard to remember when it was.....

Alright, my bad; I actually had 5 collegiate courses in Economics.
I should have called them a GOOD, not a durable good, but they are STILL something that is PRODUCED, not a service.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

First I've ever heard people complain about the motor and igniter.
