At first glance, the TAZZ looks like and extended Gyroc. It doesn't give the diameter so I'm just going by the image.

Crap...I'm not trying to pad my post count.

There's a new parasite glider called the Gryphon that seems to pay homage to Rob Edmunds.

It's good that they've kept the C11 which I was afraid would go away after reading about the return of the C5. The C11 is great in D sized models for demo flights on tiny fields.

Woah! I just noticed they are actually using the classic Centuri Super-C name! They need to dig out the old artwork for it, though.

The catalog looks good, the new products look good, it looks like all the scale models and classic models (Red Max, Interceptor, etc.) are sticking around and there are some nice new scale and futuristic models to go along with the case of C5's I'm going to grab up!

Hey tbzep......the Tazz and the Gryphon are already available online and in the hobby shops. What I don't see in the new catalog is the Saturn V Skylab and the Saturn 1B. They are in the teaser photos attached. I hope we aren't waiting until the 50th anniversary of Skylab to get them.

Since I haven't been building and I've had to pack up unbuilt kits to make room for other stuff, I haven't paid attention to what's been released lately. Now that you mention it, I sorta remember some conversation about the Tazz. Cool that they are available already. I wonder if a Skylab might get released as a separate top half vs a full stack. It will be interested to see what might happen.

As usual I don’t recall where it was posted - here, TRF, FB...but someone reported they contacted Estes customer service about the SV and the answer was another release, probably fall/early winter 2020. So we’re most likely looking at it being, officially, a 2021 cataloged release.

And I assume it will be a full stack, not a "payload section".

It makes sense to release it later since they just pulled the trigger and released the 1969 anniversary kit fairly recently.

TAZZ is BT-50-based. It’s essentially an upscale of the Gyroc that is currently being sold by Semroc/eRockets complete with the rear-eject streamer-recovered motor pod. I have one ready for primer and paint....though who knows when I’ll get to do that.

The NAR website doesn't have the C5-3 listed yet. The "Engine Test Notices" page's most recent entry was a C motor from Aerotech in 2016. I'd like to see a real thrust curve on it since I never saw the NAR numbers on the original C5's.
