Default ABL RS1 counting down (1/9/23)

Hello All,

The maiden launch of ABL Space Systems' RS1 satellite launch vehicle from Launch Pad 3C at the PSCA (Pacific Spaceport Complex - Alaska) on Kodiak island will--if all goes well--occur on Monday, January 9, at 1:00 PM Alaska Standard Time (AKST, with a launch window extending from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM AKST, see: https://www.spacelaunchschedule.com...-maiden-flight/ ). Alaska Standard Time is 9 hours behind UCT (Coordinated Universal Time), or UTC - 9. (Alaska Daylight Time [AKDT], when it's in effect, is 8 hours behind UTC, UTC - 8.)

High winds caused a scrub today; they'll try again tomorrow (see: https://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2023/01/abl-rs1-demo-1/ , and https://www.spacelaunchschedule.com...-maiden-flight/ ).

Well, it looks like we're in a "bad string" (a series of failed launches; Virgin Orbit's air launch from Cornwall, England failed to orbit yesterday). RS1 lifted off from the PSCA's Launch Pad 3C on Kodiak island, but the first stage soon shut down, resulting in a very short suborbital flight (see: https://www.google.com/search?q=abl...sclient=gws-wiz ). Liftoff occurred at 6:27 PM EST (2327 GMT; 2:27 PM AKST [Alaska Standard Time]). But...the first rounds of Rocket Lab's Electron, SpaceX's Falcon 1, and Astra's Rocket 3.3 all failed on their first launches, but later reached Earth orbit.
