Default Mad Cow and Moldin' Oldies

I've always been interested in the Bomarc 1.6" by Mad Cow. I see that Sirius has "Out of Stock" on their kits. Will the Bomarc be available again?

I also had wanted to get the 1:100 capsule with the stronger escape tower for the 2001 Saturn V by Moldin' Oldies. They've been out of stock a long time too. Will they be available again?

No idea when the out-of-stock Moldin' Oldies stuff will come back. I'd ask the vendor.

While you are waiting, you might want to check this out:

I have some 1/4" clear acrylic rod - to make the launch escape towers on my Apollo and Mercury capsules more robust I drill a 1/4" hole up through the nose of the capsule, after I'm done painting it, I insert a piece of the acrylic rod and glue it to the base of the escape motor and to the capsule.

Madcow has dropped the 1.6” BOMARC from their website so I’d say there’s probably no plans to have it back in production soon.

If you don’t want to do an upscaled clone of the Estes #654/657 1.33” BOMARC from the plans/scans on JimZ’s site, Rocketarium has a 1.6” version of the similar style AQM-37C Jayhawk.

I MIGHT have one in my piles of stuff. I just got home from the atmospheric hell in N. GA so I’ll look tomorrow.

Last time those were in stock, IIRC, was 2018, when there was a run on them for everyone's Apollo 11 50th anniversary builds. I bought 6 for our club, they're all used now. I've switched to the Boyce capsule - more expensive, but more detailed, and reasonably sturdy.
