Hey Mole -
You've got to let all the vendors get their kits before you announce the kit! JonRocket.com got theirs at last Saturday's launch. Kits are in the mail to Sirius and ERockets right now. Apogee will also get some kits shortly.

No, while I have launched quite a few Q-Jets, the F-18 Hornet tests were done with Estes A8-3, B6-4 and C6-5 motors. I can bet the equivalent Q-Jets would be just fine.

From the fighters that I have seen flying in afterburner, I believe Blue Thunder would be more appropriate. I saw a CF-18 doing practice runs in 1988 over the Offutt AFB runway in afterburner, and the flames behind the plane were blue with very little smoke. The fact that it was twilight at the time made the sight more impressive. Remember, if are flying a fighter in combat you do not want any smoke behind you to give away your position.
