The website thumbnail would be good if it was different than the facecard.

Might be nice to have year of introduction, and years of production.

So has anybody tracked down at least the years various Semroc kits were discontinued, and listed those?

5x7, LeeR, shuyge (et al), I'm wondering what you might know. (thoughtful look)

For my own Tau Zero, I'm guessing it went out of production (OOP) last year in 2019.

"Anyone, anyone?"

Sheryl and Bruce continued on, but March 10 2014 is when Sheryl announced they would close down. I consider that the discontinue date for the NC Semroc. I believe the sell off of inventory went on for a long time after that, but no more kits were produced as far as I know until eRockets started.

I plan to do a thread on when the kits were re-released in Ohio by ERockets. As a part of that, I have many sad discontinue dates there also, but I think we should consider 3/10/2014 as the discontinue date for these purposes. The eRockets kits are easy to tell apart because of the address on the front. Many had other differences. You may have gotten a kit from eRockets with a NC address but it was NOS or using up NC leftover facecards.

5x7,

Excellent point. Thanks for the clarification.

That would make sense that Randy at erockets sold out the remaining stock of, e.g., Tau Zero and chose not to make up any new kits.

Randy committed to rereleasing all the Semroc kits, and all but the 15 above have been confirmed to have been rereleased, either through an eRockets announcement (mostly Facebook) or confirmation of an Ohio facecard. Most of the kits above that I can’t confirm were available on the eRockets site and/or Semroc’s site at the time of the sale, so there was NC stock in those for Randy to sell off. However when he finished announcing re-releases, he said that 121 had been re-released. See the screenshot announcing 119 with two to go. Not including the capsule kits and booster kits I have confirmed 108 eRockets rereleases. If Randy rereleased all the rocket kits Semroc had at the time of the sale, I think there would be 123. The boosters and capsules and rocket rack bring the kits to 129. The CC kits and Xkits bring all the North Carolina kit releases to 145.

Either way, the 15 rocket kits I can’t confirm being rereleased by ERockets were for sale by ERockets, so in theory should have been rereleased according to the post attached. Randy did reply to me initially when I requested info, but has stopped. I would like to know if those were re-released in Ohio.

The Tau Zero was rereleased by ERockets on 6/4/2015, I don’t know when it was discontinued.

Just a quick note: I haven't forgotten about this project, I'm just waiting for final approval from LTVScout before moving ahead. Scott's been up to his eyebrows with Real Life concerns, no doubt.

Thanks yet again!

EDIT: Scott got back with me, and I've officially started posting.

Only 130 or so to go!
