The BEST news in all that is you are (apparently) well enough and recovered enough to go back to work. Good for you!

Though not as serious as a heart issue, I had to be out on disability once myself, about eight years ago, due to a badly ruptured disc in my lower back. Pain was crazy bad and I was almost having to drag my right leg when I did try to walk (the rupture was putting terrible pressure on the nerves in my spinal column). The only ‘cure’ was surgery, and while the surgery itself was not ‘life threatening’, I did not know how it was going to turn out. If not successful, I was going to be permanently disabled, a development that was genuinely frightening to me.

Luckily, it went well and after a couple months of recovery and physical therapy I also was able to return to work. Doc said I had a mess down my spinal column; one of the worst ruptures he had ever seen. I do recall though, similar to your thoughts too that, during the last few weeks I was at home recovering and it was becoming apparent that I was going to be ok, I was able to enjoy that time to a much greater degree than the prior three months on disability and the thought of returning to work was a bit of a downer. BUT, I do recall being eternally greatful that I COULD return.

Glad you could too. Take care and be well!

Earl

Having the correct Doc can extend disability.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !
