Default New Kits - Long March 1 or DF-4 ICBM

Here are the latest offerings from Aggressor Aerospace by Boyce Aerospace Hobbies...

Following our tradition of "first launch vehicles," we have the Long March 1 (Chang Zheng 1 or CZ-1 in Chinese). The kit can also be built as the limited-range ICBM on which the CZ-1 was based, the Dong Feng 4 (DF-4), known to western intelligence as the CSS-3.

These babies are BT-80 based, and use a cluster of 4 18mm motors. I'll try to post the video of the test flight. This thing flew like a BEAST on C5-3s, though C5-5s would have been better, if such a motor existed.

Alex teased the open inter-stage truss a few weeks back on that "other" forum. Most people guessed it belonged on a Vostok or Soyuz kit. Who knows - the market NEEDS those models too. For now, please take a look!

Alex and I are still working on the directions, but the builders kits should be available soon!

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8b5FpYlFo3M

Apologies for the expletive. I was pretty excited by the flight! I meant to say one 'chute was "fouled," but said "flawed" in my excitement.

Obviously, this was an unpainted prototype. Couldn't get it painted in time for Thanksgiving, which is when we traveled to my mom's farm!

Here is the back end. Motors are positioned to replicate the real vehicle.
