definitely ***NOT*** in Austin
Quote:
That company facility seems to be well north of Bertram. Looks way closer to Burnet or Lampasas than Austin. (And yes, Burnet has a field you can fly into.) Such minor details are important to anyone wanting to make travel arrangements.

There will be no live video feet of the event. But, starting Monday, you can follow the competition results on enavigator.org.

So this event is still going to happen? Can you point to a good source for info?

still going to happen? Info? Where have you looked.
Start here: https://www.nar.org/site/wsmc-2023/ More detail under the bulletins tab: https://www.nar.org/site/wsmc-2023/bulletins/ My wife and I are getting on a plane for a 6:30AM flight in the morning. It jolly well better be happening as we're going to help make it happen!

Worth noting that the actual WSMC flying site is now at Apache Pass, a well know RC flying site (also used for other things) ENE from Georgetown, TX.
Details on the NAR information page. A super site with a vast expanse of grass. Should be a fantastic site for the WSMC. I will be there on Wed and Thur to see parts of the event.

Tom,
Please be sure to stop by the US Junior range and introduce yourself. So very nice that you’re coming out to support the team. Really appreciate it. Steve. |

He was mentioned during the opening ceremony this afternoon. Also, the Senior range is named for him.

Too bad the old forum software doesn't support "Likes" or "Upvotes"....naming the range in honor of George is one class act. THANK YOU to whomever was responsible for this recognition.
