Default Modroc Launch Pad Design/Plans

I am exploring upgrading our club's modroc launch pad, so I am looking for some plans on pad design (if you have a pic, that would be great).

Design features:
  1. Easy for kids to put rockets on
  2. Rod can offset from vertical angle, by at least 5 degrees, in any direction
  3. Easy setup and take down
  4. Can be made from "Home Depot" type material
  5. Can accommodate 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" rods

Does anyone have something like that they would like to share that works pretty well?

Also, has anyone used carbon rod for launching rockets instead of steel rod?

Lastly, what blast deflectors look good and hold up well?

Greg

Greg,

At KCAR we use a Saw Horse design launch equipment, now you can make the legs shorter to accommodate smaller legs, that could be a thought.

here are some pics of it

This is the pad we use most of the parts are from Home Depot . Good starting point anyway.

Nice, John! Can you describe the hardware that goes onto each swivel/tilt head? (Or just send me a REALLY high-res photo. :-) )
