Thanks Dave! RCOM is one of my all time favorites - the Criterion Collection video was a surprise Christmas present from my lovely missus which I probably watch at least once a year.

It is interesting how they made the probes "Gemini shaped." I guess that was their model for a spacecraft at the time.
There was a one-or-two-season comedy in the late 60s, "It's About Time," about astronauts who end up time traveling to caveman times. Their ship was essentially a Gemini capsule. Somehow they and a few caveman pack into it for a return trip through time.

I can't make out the text on one of the illustrations. Did they list out the components? It would be a rare nod to realism to have a nuclear powered ship with radiators.
