Default Covid projects and plans

I had a co-worker show up last week coughing and with a head full of snot. She disregarded all of the signs about not coming in with symptoms just because she wasn't running a fever. She left early, but went for a Covid test. Found out today that she tested positive, so I'm off for two weeks. Pretty pissed off, but I did start gathering projects that I'm hoping to finish over the next two weeks. Some broken fins that need replacing, like with the Semroc Firefly and Estes Constellation. (The Constellation was one of the rockets in the tote that my nine year old neighbor ran over a few years back at B6-4 Field.) It's supposed to get up around 46 on Wednesday, so I think I might sneak up to fly a few since I'll be isolated and will miss the WSR launch on Saturday. (Unless an appearance is made by first time flyer Dill Arkleberger.)

Maybe he can fly at an away cell.

Be sure to tell Dill not to wear a stocking cap and a gaiter, instead of a regular mask, to the launch. It will be extremely difficult for other flyers to recognize him.

He'd probably have to keep his mouth shut all day to be unrecognizable.

Yeah, the first mention of skunky beer will alert folks to who the likely suspect might be.

Pretty good progress last night. The Constellation and Firefly are both flightworthy again. The Constellation has flown before, but the Firefly broke while I was sanding the fins. Looking forward to flying the Firefly, but that will likely be a Dayton flyer, not B6-4 Field. I got a coat of paint on the Lil' Ivan yesterday and got the Estes Solar Warrior primed, and today I got the fins on the Kopter Dart clone. T minus nine days and counting.

Keep an eye out for some old 1/2A3-0T or 1/2A6-0 booster engines on ebay.
You could fly it at B6-4 field with those.

I picked up a couple paks of 1/2A3-OT and A3-OT on ebay this year.
You just have to watch for them.

Good point. And we all know that is highly unlikely ...
