I fit a lot of those criteria. I learned enough here I don't need to ask as many questions. Haven't had time due to my house. My old computer with all my design software died.

While I think HPR is cool, I don't have the time or money for it. So, I live vicariously through everyone here!

7 Porn

And the ones that do go outside...it's just for Travel Baseball because "its a feeder program for MLB".

In the 147 years of Major League baseball, there have only been 19,000 MLB players. That's an average of 129 per year coming from all over the world, yet nearly every parent I deal with thinks their kid has the talent to go pro.

About half the drone flyers I see are 15-20 yr old guys.

I miss Carl and the 'original' Semroc team too....
Never previously saw such positive involvement with the customer base and probably never will again.
Truly a grade A1, second to none, class-act team that most businesses can only dream to emulate from a customer-service prospective.
I never had the opportunity to meet any of the Semroc team in-person, but wish I could have at the last Michigan NARAM they attended; I had planned to be there but had to cancel last-minute due to unforseen sudden work complications at that time. My entire intent to go was to meet those fine folks, with the rocket flying second.

I think life has a way of throwing a monkey wrench into the mix every now and then, putting leisure activities on the back burner. The last couple of years has been a series of unanticipated catastrophes (both large and small) for Tribe Macklin, limiting my rocketry activities. One result is I don't post as much here or elsewhere...and that may be a good thing.

I would like just once to wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and without pain so I could go enjoy wetting a hook or launching a rocket.

You wanna know my take on those numbers WRT TRF in particular?? Fewer "long-time contributing" members (a lot have left, like me among many others) but more "garbage posts" like "word association threads" type nonsense and chitter-chatter, but less actual valuable threads.

YORF is smaller (of course) but it's holding steady (even growing despite a lower rate of growth) which is a good thing. I've ALWAYS said the signal/noise ratio over on the Terribly Run Forum was always terrible... Five pages of new posts every day, of which maybe 10-15 were actually worth reading. When I hit "new posts" on YORF, I end up reading virtually EVERYTHING, though there are some things I just sorta glance at and close because it's not exactly my forte... but at least it's interesting and rocket related, instead of someone trying to pad their post count and other such garbage and nonsense...

YORF has ALWAYS had a MUCH MUCH better signal/noise ratio than the Terribly Run Forum. The content over here is simply better, with SO much less fluff and garbage to sift through...

Later! OL J R

Now I'm going to have to build a flying trash can and a flying bunny rabbit. Then you will have to sift through it!

I was always about increasing the number of launch sites and the number of flyers at each site with an emphasis on low fees and easy access. The reverse is true today ESPECIALLY in TRA.
