Default Will The SuperBowl Be Three Hours Of This???

Please tell me it won't.

I simply do not get all the hype about her. I really don't. Nothing against her, I just can't see going so absolutely nuts and obsessive about ANY entertainer.

PEUKE and DOUBLE PEUKE.

I cannot stand Taylor Swift. No talent pop hack that can't sing worth a bukket of warm dog poop.

I haven't watched a full Superbowl in years. They start it too late, and not a fan of all that halftime crap. Like Earl, I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift either. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard one of her songs.

I'm looking forward to watching it! Go Andy Reid!

The whole Taylor Swift - Travis Kelce thing doesn't bother me at all!

I don't understand all the hate directed at them.

Go Chiefs!

I will not be watching this game either.

There was a time when I would watch the commercials and use the restroom during the game. But the ads have not been so good for a long time. The last really clever one I remember is the VW "Darth Vader kid" spot.

As a frustrated Cowboys fan, I sometimes found reason to root for one team or another. For example, I wanted the Patriots to win their first time. It would have been great to pull for the Lions this time.

My preference is for the Chiefs to win:

* As a Texas Tech fan, I have always rooted for Patrick Mahomes
* The Chiefs started as the Dallas Texans in the early days of the AFL so there is some love for them here
* We do not need the 49ers to win any more, do we?

Still, I will not be watching the game.

As for the Swift phenomenon, people sometimes fixate on famous personalities, either because they are inspired by said celebrity or to fill a void in their own life. The serious Swifties spend way too much money for concert tickets and have a fear of missing out on any news about their obsession. They buy fan magazines, keep scrapbooks, join fan clubs and subscribe to Peacock for a glimpse of their idol.

Be honest now. Can you say you never been obsessed like that?

Local talk radio host Mark Davis grew up in the Maryland suburbs of DC. He managed to persuade (it sounded more like browbeat) his parents to take the family to see Apollo launches.

I never even thought of that because I knew we did not have the money or time to do it. It was not until many years later when I was able to meet some Apollo astronauts.

Maybe the most bothersome part of the fixation on her is the MEDIA fixation. Seems like every news website you open these days has a picture of her somewhere on the page! Yikes!!

But no, I never had a fixation or obsession on ANYTHING like seems to be with her. Strong interest in rockets and space (and guitars....and girls.....and....), but nothing like this stuff these days.

She is currently one of the most popular people on the planet. This is all about TV ratings and money. Unless of course you listen to the drivel that Fox sprews out about this being a left wing attempt to influence the election.
