+1 to what GH said hoping that both of you guys feel better soon. I enjoy your posts. I just got back from another outpatient procedure at the pain clinic this morning and yes pain stinks. I have four more procedures to go then I’m done for a while. My mobility impairment is mild I just need a cane at times so recovering rockets in the past has always been an issue.

I wish you guys the best, I really do

Trust me, I feel the same for you, too. Many folk have gotten tired of hearing me complain of being in pain. I can now understand that better. I did talk about it too much. Some people have Blocked me for it in the past ( wish you’d unblock me now !). But I’ve been disabled since 1990 and in pain All this time. We shouldn’t be afraid to voice our feelings on this. I’m always ready to talk or help if I can. I do understand and it’s ok. I sincerely wish you the best too. Please don’t keep it to yourself, write me direct if you need an ear. Pain can take you to a desolate and lonely place !
Danny.
Dear, me. I hope you fared well in all these hurricanes lately ?!

Living with pain stinks... I have a low tolerance for pain.
Recently had to have a BOATLOAD of painful dental work done.
Thankfully my dentist is a personal friend and poker buddy as well; he kept me WELL medicated and out-of-pain for the procedures.

I know you are careful but even the careful people get taken over by the the pain pill Genie.
I never knew that Brett Farve was hooked on pain pills, to hear him speak of his experience it is mind bending. For us Men there is no worse pain than dental pain.

I’ve had extensive dental work in the recent past, so it a Trauma for me to go. Several months ago I had 2 pulled at oral surgeons, I had them put me totally Out for the first time ever.
Well, this is a Rocket Forum,,, we’ve started a pain clinic ! 🧨

When I had my work done it was topical lidocaine to numb the area before numerous lidocaine injections.
After the procedures, it was Motrin Rx strength for swelling, Percocet for the pain, and then Amoxicillin to guard against infection.
You have to be careful with pain pills and ONLY take them when in pain.
I have had to take opioid pain medication for numerous injuries and procedures in the past
Never had any problem with them, but you have to be aware to avoid getting hooked.

Yes, and thanks for asking. One hurricane to the left of me the other to the right. Both hurricanes up until a day or two before they made landfall they had the track going pretty much straight up the mouth of the Mississippi River and pretty much directly over me. The meteorologists really can’t predict more than a day or two out so if they tell you mandatory evacuation ... you go. I’m North of the Lake Pontchartrain so could still have some hurricane force winds from one of these storms but my main concern is one of these tall pine trees across the street falling though my house. Several people got killed in Laura from just that. One of the nurses this morning told me her family lives near the Alabama / Florida state line and still is without power from Sally. My heart goes out to those people. These darned things always seem to come through in the middle of the night it’s scary as hell.

Got up briefly today, hurting bad now. Did a post on the Centuri IRIS, no telling how long it will take. You sent pics of a few kits I lost in the mix. Sure want that Javelin.
Forgot what the other was. Anyway, just rambling,,, still...hoping......
Glad you guys have this forum to share your passion! I enjoy these threads about old kits.

I got a question?

The 1969 Centuri catalog back cover shows a Saturn V on a model gantry.
Is the gantry scratch built or a model kit?
Inquiring minds want to know.

It was scratch built, not a kit. It would be interesting to know how many times Centuri was asked that very question back in 1969!
