Here's a good reference to calculate TVC:

Ls should be described as quarter chord of the wing to the quarter chord of the stab

Use in conjunction with my earlier post:

The average chord and the Mean Aerodynamic Chord are basically the same thing.

In the diagram the AC points are the QC of the wing and the Quarter chord of the Stab

Thanks! With winter setting in I intend to fill the time designing and scratch building a few more gliders, so this should help.
