If you had used CA, it would have soaked in and strengthend the weakened area and would sand down smooth.
That's what I do.
Also, a Dremel sanding drum works wonders and is very easy to control.
I don't like slicing my fingers...

If I had used CA, the launch lug would still be stuck to my hand instead of the BT.
