I've updated the Estes Kit list for 2021. I still have to do the starter kit/bulk pack kit list.

Estes discontinued at least 23 kits!

I was wondering how to handle the Hobby Lobby kits like the Solo that are now in the regular catalog; a new line entry to show that it is now a catalog item works great!

Can you send me the excel version in a PM? I would like to use that to update my inventory list.

I've now updated the Estes Starter Kit/Bulk Kit list to show everything available for 2021.

As a user of the older lists, putting 2021 in “last available” for kits still in production can become problematic as the lists age. If the kit is still available in my opinion, leave last available blank. If the lists are not updated next year, it will look like a ton of kits were discontinued that were not. The 2008 list was not updated until now, so many items that were listed as no longer available were still available.

I guess between Don and I I'll have to make sure to keep the lists up to date!

Awesome!

The original intent of the lists was to show what kits where available by catalog year. If you really, really examine some of the dates you see that I did jump the gun on some for availability dates by one year if something was listed on the website but was not actually in that years catalog.

Not being a hobby retailer that gets kit discontinuation notices, I can only go by the catalogs.

Thanks to info from user turbofireball I've now added a number of new items to the Starter Kit/Bulk Pack list and a new never released kit, #7270 Afterburner, to the regular Kit List.

If anyone has info on first or last available dates for items in these lists that are either blank or have a question mark, please let me know.
