Default Default Base Length in NC spec

I am seeing a recurrent base length of 0.500 inches for a base length on a nosecone. I have defined the NC as being a custom (although it is actually a BNC-50 based cone). I can modify the base length to 0.000 or any other number, see the base length removed from the 2D drawing, and then once saved and re-opened the base length of 0.5000 is restored. There is a shoulder definition of 0.5000, but I really wanted to lose the base length. Is this a requriement of the cone? The BNC-20 seems to have the same issue also.

As a second question, all of the database parachutes seem to have a thickness of 0.000, which is obviously not possible. Could I have a corrupted database?

It looks like some of the DBs in the latest build have been corrupted. Mine did the same after the last update. I've since replaced the stock CSV files with the last-known-good SEMROC CSV files from this forum. They're long in the tooth (about 3 years old) now and seriously need to be updated, but they're usable.
