Jeffry, I did these drawings years ago for a BT-80 Iris so I scaled it down for you.

I got 6.61" for the nose cone length.

On the BT-80 version the nose cone was 17.55" long plus the shoulder!

Yes, this is what I was getting at. For the time and expense, why build a scale model of a poorly-executed kit of a scale model, when you can just build to scale? I agree that the Semroc BNC-50G is a better choice for profile scale than the plastic Estes nose cone. Good luck with the build... I "cloned" a Centuri IRIS kit, but made adjustments and added a few minor details to make it more of a scale model and less of a clone-of-a-kit-of-a-scale-model.

Jeff,
Estes sells that nose cone in the PNC 50 pack. Or I could send you one if you like, just let me know.

Gordy,

Thanks for the drawing with dimensions, it took about 3 hours to generate the 3D print I made, see attached picture.

Jeff, it only took me about ten minutes to make the same cone on the lathe.

I already shipped it to you. According to the USPS expected delivery is Saturday.

No charge.
