Nighthawk is buried, but here’s another. You can also see the last year Midget from 1973 , plus those Rainbow Hangtag kits that stated their Skill Levels in print on front of kit panel…… these kits appeared in 1978-79. All the Hangtags changed to Black in 1980 and had " A Damon Company " in print,, Plus the old K numbers beside the 1200 numbers were dropped.

I have a last-year 1973 mini-brute Midget as well.
Paid $36 about 2 years ago. That one is really rare. The Midget was redesigned in 1972 and actually shrunk. The original Astron Midget used shorty 18mm engines and was BT50 Sustainer, BT20 booster. When it became a mini-brute it was shrunk to a BT20 Sustainer, BT5 Booster. I don't have an opened Gemini Titan, I have an opened Nighthawk. It's getting built. I have a PDR Clone of the K21 Gemini Titan that WILL be built. I have one-year only skill level versions of the Astron Cobra and Astron Falcon as well. I like to collect the skill -level version kits. Back in the mid-80s, I built a Skill-level Astron Delta kit. There is one of those on eBay now and has been for a few MONTHS. The seller wants a ridiculous $299.00. Not gonna happen.

Here is a pretty good deal on the earlier Estes Saturn 1b released in '91. This version was basically a re-issue of the original Centuri 1/100 Saturn 1b.
The primary differences are that the tank shroud (around the base of the tubes on the first stage) is a little different in this version (actually, this one is a bit stronger than the original Centuri version), and this one does NOT include the metallic SM wrap like the Centuri version had. In this Estes version you are instructed to simply paint the SM all silver. Oh, and this one is set up for a single 24mm motor mount whereas the Centuri version was a dual 18mm cluster. Otherwise, they are basically the same kit. I know the current Estes Saturn 1b is cheaper than this, but someone who is looking for the earlier Estes version (note, this NOT the older Estes 1/70th scale kit!) or would like to have a Saturn 1b very much in keeping with the original Centuri version, this would be the one for you. Before the latest Estes version was released, this kit was going routinely for around $200 or more. This one is listed at $99.99 plus shipping. Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2656236959...AAOSwY2tiRlL M Not my listing nor do I know the seller. Earl

Plus of course, the escape tower motor was a Launch Lug, while Estes' was plastic. You can use that chrome peel n stick paper, forget the name, and made upper CSM details. Cut as you wish. Works great. The decals can be copied onto them thru your printer, ( is why I showed the original built Centuri Little Jie II s. ). You can also take an Empty ball point pen, BIC is. best,,, and using a ruler, gently score the surface to make corrugations in it for added realism. On any surface, almost….

I have two of those kits. Gave a third away to a friend for Christmas a few years ago. I have built one of the two. It has been painted white. The four black tubes are painted. I just need to paint the black details on the rest of it. I have painted the CM silver, but undecided if I will do any further detailing. I think the record eBay price for this kit was over $400! One of my kits was acquired for $39 at a local Ace Hardware maybe 20 years ago.
