No luck finding a battery. Ordering some off Amazon, so should have them in a few days.

Sorry for the delay

Mole:

Here are my first trials of these missile tips. Give them a try. I recommend 100% fill and highest resolution your printer can handle. Let me know how they come out. These may require some sanding but should give you an approximate copy of what you need. Once Austin provides the measurements I can then try to adjust these.

Honestly the originals are from a Sidewinder 3D model on Thingiverse that I modified for my project. Hope these work for you.

Batteries came today and here are the measurements for the fin and tail sections. The attached drawings are not to scale. The molded plastic will vary in thickness from 0.6mm to 0.8mm, and this can affect the measurements.

If you have any questions (or if I missed something) please let me know.

Default Estes Sidwinder Tips For 1/8th Diameter Dowels

First: Thanks Bob Austin for providing the profile measurements of the original Estes Sidewinder Missile Tail and Tip. The drawings were very helpful to reproduce a "close to original" parts.

This is what I was able to replicate based on the drawing's notes. These are to be used with 1/8th inch diameter dowels. I referenced the Estes Screaming Eagle instructions to figure out these were for the 1/8th inch dowels.

The Mole, I hope these STL files work for you. Also try these and let me know how they work.

Default Estes Sidwinder Tips For 1/8th Launch Lugs

These STL files are to be used with Launch Lugs. The size of the fins are the same as the files previously posted, only the diameter of the body has been adjusted for use with LLs. I have not tried these since my 3D printer is still down. Feedback is appreciated.

r - r I just got done printing these from your first files. Not too bad with no clean-up.
I'll try the second files to be used for the launch Lug tomorrow and get back to you.

THANKS.

Just out of curiosity, what are your settings for layer height that you are using?
