I?m glad you said that. I have wanted one of these for some years and now will be less inclined to pursue one.

Hi all,

The instructions mention Hercules engines..the old Mini Max that I have is an F-10; ..think of the old Estes B-3 (?) B-14 re-write so to speak.
One can place their pinkie into the nozzle.

Also it has 1/4" thick 2 piece fins; I'll wrap the tube with 80 grit and sand the root edges
to conform...better fit, less glue.

Oddly enough, the fabric/elastic shock cord is still "springy"

I think I get the jist of the steel cable keeper - Earl, any idea of how to pack it all
for flight? Slim instructions...

Bob

About the only thing I could say is?carefully, I guess.

I have all the MiniMax kits and among them there is really no specific directions on how to do that. I figure the main thing is, as one is getting that all stuffed into the bodytube, is to try to keep the chute itself from getting entangled in the steel cable and shock cord. Maybe a small layer of chute wadding of some type between all that harness work and the chute itself, with the chute being on the very top, just under the nosecone.

Earl,

Many thanks!

Bob
p.s. test fitted a modern F-52..may have to use a Cesaroni 3 grain tube
for it to reach the upper mount.. I see fly once and retire

Default Old Motors

I'm surprised these didn't go before I nabbed them. I was going for the Cox motors, including a D8-0 pack. He was asking $40.88 OBO. He took my $35 offer.

Wowww.
That's a steal.
The D8-0 motors are good'ns
Great for a Farside booster.
D8-0 to D8-0 to a C6-7 or Quest composite D upper stage makes a memorable but unrecoverable flight.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !
