Interesting that your 1969 B14-0 looks to be at least 1/4" longer than the 1979 one.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

I’ve not flown one of the newer B14s, which I plan to do. I’ve also got an older B8, which will be an interesting comparison flight.

That 1979 Centuri B14 is constant with latter 70s Centuri B14’s that I had.

I kind of suspect the deep core of the ‘real’ Estes and Centuri B14’s was ditched sometime in the latter 70’s (Estes was once again making the Centuri motors), and that they were ALL probably B8’s by then. The label change to ‘B8’ came some years later.

It does, but just a parallax issue. They are indeed the same length.

Phone was held at an angle to try to avoid my shadow from overhead lights, and close enough to try to see down the nozzle.

Also, the motor nozzle differences are much more dramatic looking at them in person vs. seeing a photo.
