Thanks!

Bill, That's a lot of rockets! My all-time number of rocket fleet builds is 140. 103 of those were done in my old fleet days from 1973 to 1984, and the other 37 have been my output since BAR-ing in 2016.
I suppose my lifetime rocket building output is close to 200 when I add in all of the kits I did for Estes' build-up program back in the late 70s as well as many other kits put together to fly in club demo launches.

Lee, I've already earmarked that EAC Firecat for the 2022 multi-build. Also in the mix will be the A.R.V. Condor kit that Goose gave me last year. I have a spare PNC-50BB nose from a Crossfire kit that will become part of a scratch built Black Hole Space Probe clone. Also have Estes Nike-Smoke and Nike-Apache kits hanging around. After that, I will probably throw in an Old Fleet favorite re-build and another B/G or two....

Bill, that is an amazing number of completed builds! I started putting a bunch of completed rockets that I don’t care to display into big plastic bins, but the only place to put them is in our crawl space. And those get to be a real pain to climb in and out of (crawl space, not plastic bins …) My basement is mostly wood shop so I have put a few up in the space between the floor joist of the main floor. I cannot imagine storing 700+ rockets, even with a bunch stored in trees instead of the house!

Ed,

I started my EAC Firecat from the Mini Honest John kit. I decided the “innies” on the nose cone (thrusters) needed to be filled. I did that and its primered. I have all the parts, just need to cut the fins to get going again.

Great idea for a Crossfire ISX. I acquired one that had some balsa parts missing, so maybe I scrounge the noce cone for a Black Hole Space Probe.

Nice work on the ESAM-58 Ed, that's a sharp design, and well finished. The entire fleet looks great! (the Icarus with upside down Cherokee-E fins is a little weird)

Thanks!

Yes, the Cherokee-E fins are a bit of a mis-match. I happened to have the remnants of a Cherokee-E kit hanging around from which I had pilfered the main body tube for another project. When it came time to build the Icarus, I wanted it to have a booster stage. The surplus Cherokee-E fin set happened to fit the bill for that particular addition. And, since the extra set of Cherokee decals fit the fns, well...why not?
The booster fins are papered for extra strength, and balsa gussets were built into the root edges.
The motor mount was built to accommodate Estes E12-0 motors. The resulting Cherokee-Icarus should be a good high-flier. It is intended to be my new workhorse vehicle for conducting video-cam/altimeter missions.

Love the Firecat! Cloned it several years ago using Sandman decals.

What did you use for the BT-48 tube on the Firecat?
