Of course, you gotta be able to paint the body tube separately as well, but it would SEEM that would be possible, too.
Do you see any potential show-stoppers in that regards? I too have a pretty well flight-worn Centuri Nike-Smoke that probably really needs to head to the retirement shelf.

No show stoppers so its Yes to rest, one of the centering rings is notched to maintain proper alignment and support for the body tube when the fins are inserted. The fit for the two pieces that make up a fin is very nice almost perfect no flashing or trimming required to assemble, the material seems to be ABS plastic not styrene tough but may have some paint adhesion issues, I guess I will find this out soon… |
