Default Estes D.O.M. Skydiver

Kinda bored of late, so I've been cruising the rocket internet looking for something different. This one fits the bill. Kind of a rear ejection star cruiser sort of thing.

I was pulling parts from my stash last night to see what I might need to order from eRockets and found that much of what I needed was onhand. I think I'm just short a balsa nose block to seal the end of the parachute tube, so I think that might mean I need to find another new build to pair with it. The guy who designed it was named Dean Pilato, which sounds familiar to me, but the name doesn't show up on any searches here, at TRF or FaceBox. Does it ring a bell with anyone else?

Warren is the city that has my work location, but I have never heard of him.
Prop Shop Hobbies is located in Warren and is the only location I'm aware of in town now that sells Rockets, but back in '84 there were tons of locations that sold rockets such as Ben Franklin 5&10, D & C 5/10 Stores, Toys-R-Us, Kay-Bee Toys, Circus World, and many other hobby shops back then.
I can ask the next time I'm at Prop Shop, but doubt it will be much before Christmas.

That design almost looks like something Canaroc would have kitted

Nah, just seemed like a familiar name. I always like to find out when someone who won one of these contests is still in the hobby.

Dang it, Bill ! You have came up with not ONE but TWO designs today that I want to build now.
I think I may have parts available for this one and your ebay find.

Is there an easy way to search for DOM designs on oldrocketplans.com? I haven't figured it out. I'd love to look through the whole list.

<never mind, I figured it out. I was searching for "DOM", now I see they're listed under MRN>

There's also a thread somewhere on here that has a bunch of plans that had yet to be posted anywhere else. I think it was started by Bill Cooke, then added to by others.

Looks like he was around for a few years in the late 90's.
