Default Space Age Industries Quasar

Thanks to Jeff Jenkins (Faithwalker), here are the instructions and templates for the Space Age Industries Quasar.

https://www.oldrocketplans.com/sai/SAI_Quasar.pdf

Here is some info from Jeff:

Please note:

Paper size for the SAI Quasar plan templates is 8 ½” x 11”.
Paper size for SAI Quasar nose cones and dowels image is 8 ½” x 11”.
Paper size for all four instruction sheets is 8 ½” x 14”.

Main nose cone is birch. The three strap-on booster nose cones are balsa.

Main body tube is 19mm (0.716 in. ID x 0.748 in. OD x 0.016 in. wall) x 12” long.
The three strap-on booster tubes are 19mm (0.716 in. ID x 0.748 in. OD x 0.016 in. wall) x 4” long.

Thanks for your help, Scott, in getting these very rare plans posted! I'm glad that I still had them and that I am able to share them with you and everyone here.

For some additional related information and photos of this kit, please see the following YORF link: https://forums.rocketshoppe.com/showthread.php?t=19535

Please note that I have noticed some variance in the three strap-on nose cones. In some cases, they were made of balsa, but in some cases, they were made of birch. These three strap-on nose cones were drilled out as well. Sometimes the shape of the three strap-on nose cones also varied somewhat. Sometimes, they had a rounded tip and sometimes they had a pointed tip. The SAI Catalog shows both nose cones (B and C) for 19mm tubing, but it shows them as hardwood nose cones, not as balsa; however, the Quasar instructions lists the three strap-on nose cones as balsa. SAI Catalog reference: http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/ca...eage/sai20.html

Kind regards,
Jeff Jenkins
