Background Information brief: The SakiTM is the first of the Semroc GrooniesTM to be released. It is an upscale of the basic design of the Estes® Cloud Hopper that was released in 1973 as one of their Goonybirds. The original working drawing was for a Saki Bomber depicting a Japanese bomber. Probably the sensitivities of the era led the final design to be changed to a more politically correct yellow rabbit complete with whiskers and cottontail.
Whatever the reason for the change, Semroc has returned to the original theme of a mad bomber, flying a large human bomb with Japanese markings against some unknown target for eternity. The Saki will fly on all size fields and will be a great addition to your collection of Groonies!
