The similarity to the Pterodactyl is unmistakable, especially its overall shape. Wonder which came first?

The Pterodactyl came first . . . It was an ENERJET model.

Vaughn Brothers Rocketry started in 1992 . . . The ENERJET PTERODACTYL was introduced in 1972.

The resemblance to the Pterodactyl is far too close for me to accept it as an "original" VBros design IMO. It's more like a more junior knock off of Enerjet's glider.

Eric,

Agreed . . . 100% . . . The "Buzzard" was an "homage" to the Enerjet "Pterodactyl", at the very least !

Amazing shots! Wherever did you find these archive photos? I assume one of the guys was the kit designer/developer?
