We never did a NCR by Estes version of the 2157 Saturn V (even though Mike Dorffler and I did all the the work to bring it back), that I can recall. It was a pure Estes release.

We had picked a target production run number for the kit. Right before we let the production purchase order for the vac forms, Barry got cold feet, and cut the order in half. We had already had 80%+ of the quantity in pre-orders, but I couldn't convince him to stick with the original production target.

By the time we released the kit, we were on the second production order because of his fears. His poor planning cost us a good amount of profit. But he knew more than anyone else.
