Default Estes Management Changes

Things have recently changed with the staff/management at Estes.

Ellis Langford is now in charge of the 'Aerospace Division' at Estes.

Mallory Langford is President of Estes.

Chandra Serfoss is no longer with the company.

Estes has hired a bunch of engineers. Why?

Tune in again for more Penrose Intrigue.

I watched that video right after it appeared on FB yesterday. I was surprised at all of the engineers they now have. There's a young woman who is a propulsion engineer as well. Is Mallory Ellis's wife or sister?

I'm unfamiliar with who Chandra Serfoss was.

Estes is now the alternate launch site if there's weather at Boca Chica.

Well, those two programs do need somebody like Estes to get them going in the right direction!

+1 to what tbzep just said above.
Hopefully one of those engineers is working on PORT BURNING BP engines.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Fascinating stuff...just not sure where rockets fit in...

Mallory has to be Ellis’ sister. I met his wife Kiki at NSL in Geneseo in 2018.

Chandra Serfoss is the daughter of Christine Swartz, the much loved customer support person at Estes, who passed away a few years ago. Chandra organized the Estes Tour during NARAM-60. You would be hard/pressed to meet a more delightful lady. Obviously a lot like her mother.

She was at Estes many years, so this is some very sad news.

I think the Estes webpage description of their 'Aerospace' division is a good hint:

"Estes has established a new division to serve our customers in government, industry, and academia."

I would bet that is where the new engineers are going.

Thanks for the info, Lee. Yes, Christine was awesome. Sorry to hear Chanfra is no longer there.

I remember in the 90's inquiring with Christine about buying some Sandhawk and Interceptor plastic parts packs. Next thing I know I had 3 sets of each shipped to me, no charge!
