Seeing that Estes still does not have these instructions posted, I wonder if the folks at AC Supply just scanned a hard copy of each of these and posted to their site?
I was gonna do that for each of the Saturn kits and post here on YORF, but the AC Supply files saves me from having to do that. Earl

Looks like there is a bit of an unneeded white background on the tank tube vertical "UNITED STATES" decals on the new Saturn 1b kit. Since all the tank tubes are painted white, this white background hold-over from even all the way back to the original Centuri kit when four of the tubes were painted black is not needed in this version.
One will need to be a bit careful in hoping that the 'tone' of white used to paint the Saturn 1b will match the 'tone' of white in these four decals (as many of us have found out over the years, not all paints labeled "white" are exactly the same). On the other hand, if one chooses to paint and decal this newest 1b in non-Skylab livery, then you have the decals to do that. Earl

I'm sure that's why they did it that way. You have the advantage of building any of the missions without having to mask and paint a black tank with white strip. For the Skylab missions, trim it close to the lettering to help minimize any off-hue mismatches. You could even take some of the excess decal and experiment with paint samples of various brands and types of white paint. I can see differences between enamel and lacquer of the same brand. I still have cans of Rustoleum and Valspar gloss white lacquer. I don't know if they still distribute it because I haven't bought paint in a while.

A friend of mine works in a body shop. He says white is one of the hardest colors to match.

For those who may be looking for the Saturn V Skylab kit and had seen that AC Supply was, earlier, showing out of stock, they are now showing back in stock once again.
