A handful of Colorado Front Range rocketeers converged on Dove Valley park for yet another enjoyable, if a bit windy, rocket flying session.

Can you post some static pics of the McKibbin Special?

Sure thing. This was an Estes DOM 0382 plan. The body tube length is not on the plan, but it is 18" long. I added a rocket nozzle tail cone, and a conduit on the top. The red stripes and black cockpit windows are both made with automotive pinstripe tape.

Bummed I missed the launch.

Mike, I am definitely building a McKibbins Special. Nice job!

It has nice lines. It looks like it would fit right in as a space liner in 2001 A Space Odyssey. It's very vintage-futuristic, for a lack of a better description. The body and pinstriping exude 60's futuristic art and models. The cockpit decals remind me of the the NASA worm logo era.

Thanks tbzep. I appreciate the kind words. I saw this plan ages ago and really liked the looks of it. Finally got around to building it, and I am glad that I did. The plan is on JimZ.
