Does it appear to have reached terminal velocity on the D12-3? In other words, is it speeding up as it lands?

If you mean an E12 for the E motor, the peak thrust is the same; it just burns longer, giving you more altitude.

Give a man a rocket and he will fly for a day; teach him to build and he will spend the rest of his days sanding...

He eventually certified using a ring finned rocket, so he never tried again as far as I know.

Motor ejects at apogee in level flight, the rocket is sideways when it pops.
Kind of hard to see in the videos but it appears to me that it starts its decent rapidly after the ejection charge and then slows down as it comes in.
If it was an optical illusion I would expect it to look like it was going slower when it was overhead and coming towards me and then appear faster as it drifted and I got more of a side profile view.
And ya, I was thinking of an E12 just to get a little more altitude so it has more air time to slow down (if that's what's happening).
Kind of a gamble changing up motors when this works so well but I guess that's were all the fun is....

Clean launch and landing of Spinderella on a 24mm E12-4.
Field was dry (previously I've only been launching after a rain to give it more of a buffer on landing in the soft ground).
Still no tube damage.

Now that everything is reliable and sound I'll make another thread and post the templates and parts lists for Mr. Twisty and Spinderella.
Thanks for playing.
