Default POLL: Are you building a Cherokee Double-D?

I'm trying to find out how many Cherokee Double-D models are being built by forum members. Someone suggested I might want to do a write-up for one of the review sites, and I thought this might be a good way to get some initial data.

So what's a "Cherokee Double D"?

Mine is a triple Cherokee E, I call it a Cherokee E cubed.

It's based on a BT-70 with 3 x 24mm motor mounts

It flew on 3 E9'-6s at NARAM to about 1,000'.

Hmnnn...

Creative juices are beginning to flow...

A triple-eagle cluster upscale of the Double-D...

A Cherokee Deuce Triple-Eagle? Symbol would be a pair of fuzzy dice with three eagle heads on one of the faces of each die...

BTW... Nice model, Sandman. I've always liked the Cherokee-D design, anyway. It just has the "right look" for a model rocket...

Good launch photos!

Good launch photos!

I can't take the credit for those photos. Bill Gee took those at NARAM and was actually taking pics of the rocket next to mine when the RCO launched the wrong rocket...OOPS!

Fortunately the field of view on his camera caught my Cheroke.

Oh My! E cubed, I love it. Darn you guys, here I just finish the "DD", feeling all good and stuff, and along comes this. And Craig, my feeling exactly on the Cherokee-D. It just looks right. Throw in real nice performance, and it, well, I just love it.

Looks like I know what I need to do first -- get that PDF set worked up.

I'll write up the plans as if one were building from scratch, but somewhere I'll mention using the CCX as a starting point...
