As someone who has changed many-a-diaper, I associate the smell with rocketry. I also sometimes put it on my hands before glove-up to do epoxy work. For me, the purity level is great enough that I decided to use it in epoxy mixes, but have yet to try it. If it works, great. If it doesn't, I can try "Plan B" and get the 100% stuff. Greg |

I understand that some contaminents, even in the tiniest proportions (eg, less than 1 part per million) can sometimes have dramatic effects on the results. But I doubt the scent would have an impact. If you can get unscented for the same price, sure, that's less risky, but I doubt is makes much diff. We're not talking medicine or drinking water here, just model rocket fins. So, in that context, it's worth taking the risk. Try it. Let us know how it works. Or, as the test engineers put it, one test is worth a thousand expert (rocketeer) opinions Doug .

Plain old baby-powder talc with or without scent mixes fine with clear dope to create Home-Brew Balsa Fillercoat.
No Worries- It works. Usually one will have to add some thinner to the mix as well; the talc thickens the dope considerably.
