Default Estes F-22 Air Superiority Fighter

Finally dragged this one out to finish it since I'm on vacation this week. It says that it's skill level 1, but it's been over 20 years since I did the build, so I can't say how close it was. I'd think the glider alone would elevate it to at least skill level 2. Sourcing paint for the glider will be the toughest part of finishing. Anyone else ever build this one?

I've built at least one of those. I used Testors enamel for the foam glider because Testors enamel is foam-safe (though I don't know why.) The color I used for the glider was Testors Light Aircraft gray.

Testors enamel is foam-safe because it uses a "soft" solvent package of mostly aliphatic hydrocarbons that are not "hot" like dope/lacquer uses. No Acetone, MEK, Xylene, MIBK, Toluene, or other Ketones, all which attack foam.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Yeah, and you get a Fruity Pebbles smell instead of a nice stout solvent aroma. :/

I was just telling my Fruity Pebbles story tonight at dinner. Having them for breakfast one morning as a kid and the milk came out chunky. Mom said, "I have other milk," and mixed up some Carnation Instant Breakfast. I drew the line at that. I had jelly bread instead.

Krylon short cuts may work also, but not sure what color options they have. I used dark aircraft gray which is flat and is not that dark.
