I don't recall a 'cause of death' being mentioned, but maybe they did. I think Mark was supposed to have been about 4-5 when she passed away.

I think they mentioned "The Fever" got her in one episode.

Yesterday I watched an episode that starred John Anderson.
To my knowledge, he never had his own show but guest starred in other shows like playing Macgyver's grandfather and was a super being on ST:TNG.

There is not NEARLY ENOUGH Brandin' of animals nor humans on Television.
The old 1994 Pace Picante Sauce ad "NEW YORK CITY ???Jake, It's time you SWITCHED BRANDS !" with the menacing guy holding a firey "P" branding iron.

The 80's cult classic Reform School Girls features an adult girl getting branded. Real cinematic Tour-De-Force classic.
