Default Rocketarium mystery missile.

I was sorting through a stack of boxed kits and found this one that I apparently had purchased a few ago: Rocketarium RM-2 (#RK-10160).

Rocketarium doesn't seem to offer it anymore, nor can I find a reference to it. I'm assuming that RM means Research Missile--but all of the images I can find of an "RM" DO have the same (4) bottom fins as the photo on this box, but also have (2) large mid-section wings and NO canopy.

Does anyone know what this is a scale model of (if anything?)

Thanks! VR, Jeff

This is completely from my admittedly foggy memory but I think the prototype for that kit was a NACA subscale research missile investigating nose/canopy shapes on supersonic aircraft.

I think Rocketarium sold two versions of the RM-2.

Ah so! So then the canopy is just a shape and no one actually rode (died) in this?

No, I was thinking more of that "Flat Earther Dude".

Both displayed IDIOT tendencies of epic proportion.
