Antar (and S.S. Starover)
Hello All,
I just received an e-mail message from Estes Industries (see: https://estesrockets.com/product/00...source=hs_email , and attached below), featuring a new kit in their Designer Signature Series. It is G. Harry Stine's "Antar," which also appeared in (and on the cover of) a 1950s Mechanix Illustrated book on space flight. It also appeared in at least one of the Dig Allen Space Explorer Adventure series books (see: http://www.tomswift.info/homepage/indexa.html ) by Joseph Greene. In "Journey to Jupiter" (published 1961, see: http://www.tomswift.info/homepage/journey.html ), Dig's spaceship--which closely resembled the Antar, even down to its paint job--was the S.S. Starover.
