Neil, The 1/2 A6-2 does indeed still exist. This is what 400 of them look like. :0 We do a yearly build-it-fly-it event at the Henry Ford Museum for the Maker Faire. Usually we fly several hundred Make-It-Take-Its on A8-3's. But a couple of years ago the Faire wanted to move our setup to a new, much smaller flying site, directly adjacent to the building. So we ordered 400 1/2 A6-2s with bulk starters, plugs, and wadding direct from Estes. But even with the smaller motors we got really nervous about the new launch location. We just didn't want to burn down a national historic landmark filled with priceless artifacts, LOL. So we didn't fly that Maker Faire but did an event at the museum for Aviation Day in our usual spot, using A8-3's. So that left these 400 1/2 A6-2's unused. Still trying to think of an idea to utilize them. But I thought you guys would be interested in seeing what a bulk motor buy from Estes looks like. By the way, they don't actually count the motors, starters, or plugs. They just weigh them to the correct amount and toss in a couple extra. For any of you who haven't had the pleasure of dealing with Estes' educational folks, they are truly wonderful. |

Wowwwww !
That's one heck of a boat-load of 1/2A6-2 motors ! I'd like a box that size of C5-3 and C5-0 motors.

Those full TP rolls of wadding look really useful, better than the cut up packs where you end up with a bunch of partial sheets. Those would make a great new "bulk pack"!

I could use those rolls of wadding after a good hot Mexican meal.
