When doing research for the Apollo 7 build, we came to that conclusion. In some pictures, the panels did not match, but differed slightly in appearance.

Hmm, some people can almost build the entire 1B in that amount of time. Not consecutive, of course.

Most excellent. Both the gloss and the matte folks can have it their way.

I have to charge more for the chrome 'cause the ink cost more and for chrome and the printer underprints all of the colors under it. That's a lot of ink!

Someone was nice enough to send me "Space In Miniature #6" and the color of the service module is truly silver and not chrome!

I have to get one of these books. Really great info inside but...

The service module wrap was pretty much different for almost every Saturn flown.

The wrap for the Apollo/Soyuz Saturn 1B was different from all the rest!

I also found a ton of lettering on the service module but unfortunately it actually 0.2" high so in 1/100th scale that would be about 0.002" high and I don't think that's printable with today's printer technology.

Default The site for Apollo

Forgive me if this is redundant information.

There is a Japanese site (maintained in English) that can provide very comprehensive infromation on pretty much all aspects of the Apollo program. The site author is a graphic designer/artist and there are a wealyth of images and representations of the Apollo mission vehicles, both Block 1 and Block 2 for all missions. Also the SV and S1B details - both exterior and interstage details.

Well, I picked up a few of these (silver, not chrome) and am very impressed. It will certainly help take some time out of the masking and painting whenever I get around to building a 1b for myself, and they look wonderful.

Excellent work, Sandman!

Glad you liked them, Chan.

Just to stay ahead of the game I'm putting the finishing touches on a 1/100th scale Apollo Service Module wrap for the Saturn V and maybe a future 1/100th Saturn 1B...NOT ME!. ..I'm not doing a 1/100th Saturn 1B kit!

I meant if somebody else comes out with a 1/100th Saturn 1B!

I have to be careful of what I say around here!

I do have all the parts for one if I ever get time to build it!

And my 1/70th LJ II, and my Mars Lander and...you get the picture.

I have the 1/100th scale Service Module wrap finished and now available.

I'm putting it on my site right now!
