Niiiice. Parallel wound BT-30 tubes. Love the original balsa cone on the Bertha too. So much better than the shorter one they transitioned to.

Yeah, looks like a nice little treasure trove. I have asked the seller to see if there is a copy of the order form in the box; that would really help to identify just what all is in the box.

I see a roll of "carpet thread" aka parachute shroud line stock.
Is that stuff still made today? Bill

I really have not been able to find the glazed cotton thread like that used by Centuri and Estes back in the day. There are probably 'equivalent' threads today, but I'm not sure how they are spec'd compared to the old carpet thread. One can still buy 'carpet' thread, but it does not seem to the be same as the old stuff, at least to me. Earl

Looks like a good deal on A8-3 engines, if you want to chance it on engines probably from the late 80s or early 90s.
Priced at $75 plus $10 shipping for 64 engines. These are the bonus four-pack blister packs. When they carried the ‘cobra’ label. Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1149907437...AAOSwqHJhQST ~ Not my listing nor do I know the lister. Earl

I am not sure. The difficult thing about buying somewhat older engines (not necessarily collectable engines, but engines for actual flying) is that you do not know their history, how they were stored, what levels of humidity, heat and cold they have been exposed to. That is why I mentioned in my post about those engines that any potential buyer might want to think about the 'age' of the product if they were interested in buying. I used a number of the Cobra packaged engines in the late 80s and early 90s and I don't recall having any clay issues with those. Earl

These three kits have sat at a single bid of $99 for just about the entire week, but as usual, in these last minutes things are really taking off. The Big Bertha, which may be a first issue for this kit, is over $270. Earl
