Default Falcon 9 Abort

The Falcon 9 Starlink mission aborted yesterday after the engines fired. They even called a liftoff, then quickly said to disregard. So far, all I've been seen is this explanation: “Standard auto-abort triggered due to out of family data during engine power check.”.

The earliest window for a rescheduled launch is Wednesday.

I had look up what "out-of-family" means. I found the following in a NASA STS document:

In Family: A reportable problem that was previously experienced, analyzed, and understood.

Out of Family: Operation or performance outside the expected performance range for a given parameter which has not previously been experienced.

That's not the first time a Falcon-9 has done that....they'll get it figured out. That's to be the fifth flight of that particular first stage....which is pretty cool in and of itself.

Out of Family: Shut it down else pick up the pieces.

They didn't want to launch a "Falcon 8".

Wonder if it contributed to them not being able to recover the stage? They said that the second stage was gonna do a longer single burn instead of dual burns to the desired orbit, which freed up more propellant for first stage recovery, but then it didn't get recovered, so obviously something else was at play there...

Wow, Luke...it’s been a while since you were here, or at least since you posted.
