Default Centuri Phoenix Bird

Wanting to clone this one, and have a sheet of the stickers from the Estes release to modify.
Problem is, after much searching - can't seem to come up with tube lengths.

Anyone ?

I just built the Estes version last spring. Not sure how close in size it is to the original, other than the tubing being BT-55 instead of BT-56 (ST-13). The main tube was 12" and the payload was 7".

Is reported in this thread that there is also a coupler and they derive a breakdown from some measured parts: https://www.oldrocketforum.com/show...79&postcount=21

The coupler with the wide band in the middle I think is the same one used in the UFO Invader Super Kit so has molded in details.

Measured from and open but complete and original Centuri Phoenix Bird Kit:

Main tube: ST-13, 12” long

Payload tube: ST-13, 7” long

Connector: 15/16” exposed length (yes, same coonector and nose come as used in UFO Invader Kit)

Thanks guys - I knew someone would have the info. Could not find the plans posted any of the usual locations.

Interesting about the coupler - I'd assumed it used the short 1340 style coupler as well, noting the thread linked above about the differences.

Guess I need to order a Moldin Oldies coupler, or find / design a 3d print file for one.

Thanks !

AL

Thanks again, Earl .

That's one not posted online - Jim - note here are the needed scans

Will be debating how to continue, whether purist and order / make the coupler, or just add proper length and leave it be.
