Default STUPID annoying ads

Not sure about anyone else's area of the country, but those STUPID Medicare plan ads comprise fully 50% of daytime TV ads now. Every time I see Namath's fugly face, I wanna throw a cinder block through the TV.
Another 40% are ABSURD Reverse-Mortgage and Car Warranty ads.
10% are others.
Sure am glad my XM in the cars have no ads whatsoever.

I think we all should be able to opt out of those bs adds no matter what they’re on, tv, Internet, radio, mail, etc. Lately I’ve seen Captain Kirk and joe Montana spewing the bs.

I remember a bygone era when tv ads were at least semi-entertaining with humor, action, or at least had good eye candy, whether it be a nice looking model, or a desirable car. Now they use annoyance tactics with the idea that you can't forget their product no matter how bad you want to.

The last "good" ads I can recall are the Allstate "Mayhem Guy" ads.
Those were my all-time favorite. DELIBERATELY wrekkin' OTHER people's stuff. 👍

I remember old 90's ads for Hardees that featured Mr. Haney from Green Acres hawking a "Bag Yer Face" breakfast that were funny.

Seth Green doing Rally's ads as the "Cha-CHINGGGGGGG" guy were hilarious.

I think that was a regional ad. There aren't any Rally's and only a few Checker's in TN that I know of and I've never seen the ad on tv. I may look for it on youtube later.

Look for those ads on You Tube.

The last entertaining commercials I enjoyed are the video game Call Of Duty. Starring Peter Stormare as "The Replacer", he's great. Also, there's a mildly customized '70 Challenger in it.

Default How Much Do You Pay to Watch Them?

I quit paying to watch commercials years ago. Cable, Dish, all charge to watch the ads.....

Remember when cable and paid TV didn't have commercials?

Have a TV, but hard wired to a blu-ray player.

The Allstate Mayhem Guy running over the mailbox and deliberately smashing the crap out of that POS Hardly-Movingsen Moron-Cycle was the best ad I have ever seen.

It is sad. There is not a single commercial on for anything we are interested in. No new products or funny ones. And the commercials on make sure I never look into their product!
