Most excellent! Your collection should grace the pages of Sport Rocketry. Perhaps with a few pictures of one going thru the build process!

Yes, the Monster and the Bride is what "the Vixen" and I have decided to do. I'll paint the groom, "The Vixen" wants to paint the bride. "The Vixen's" skills are much better than mine. "Mum-Rock" and "Joan Jetpack" were her creations.

I absolutely agree with this. I'm sure Tom Beach would love to have an article and lots of pictures showing how some of these creations are made.

Default One down--One to go!

"The Vixen" finished The Bride in about 4 hours today. It would have taken me at least a week and it wouldn't have looked this good.

Now for the groom.

With "Elsa" finished ("The Vixen" has named the pair Elsa and Boris--for obvious reasons,) I've started on the head of Boris.

First I think I'll extend the height and then flatten the cranium--to make it took more like a stereotypical--yet accentuated--Universal Studios monster. To do this I've simply cut a band from a 24mm engine block tube. After it's glued on I'll blend it in with Squadron Grey.

I have some those little pink plastic brains left from when I created Rock-Zombie and I may make a cavity in the top of the head and drop a brain in it--leaving it exposed and visible from above.

Before I use the Squadron putty on the head I first soak the yellow band in thin CA to harden it and make it workable.

I have been having problems getting ZAP/Pacer adhesives locally for the past 2 years.
Jeffy, do you order or get locally in your area ?
Most hobby shops in my area only have Bob Smith (private labeled) which I find inferior, especially on the bottle type.

My favorite CA products used to be CG Jet/Super Jet, but those have been gone for over a decade.

I bought the ZAP products several years ago at the Hobbytown USA near me. I don’t know if they still have it. I would imagine if the Prop Shop in Centerline(?) doesn’t have it then no one does.

You’re right about Jet—it was the BEST CA.
