Hopefully it's a "Mild" case and you are vaccinated.
My better half and I got it back in January while at the "Secrets resort" in Playa Mujeres, MX.
We both were fully vaccinated and got our stay extended by two weeks, on their dime.
Thankfully our symptoms were mild.

Get well soon !

Has anyone here had any dealings or contact with John since his last post here in late July? His last post is concerning and he has not logged back on to YORF since that day. I have made the post above with no response and also sent him an email with no response.

If anyone has had contact or current knowledge of his status, please post here if it is not against his wishes.

Thanks,

Earl

I spoke with John by text last week, and he is still recovering from the rebound case of Covid.

Ok, thanks for the update. If you can, pass on our wishes for a speedy recovery!

It's been a while.

I appreciate the concern and the good wishes.

My Covid case was actually very mild, more of a nuisance than anything else. My problems came after I was "well" and pronounced with a clean bill of health. I had a rebound that laid me low with extreme weakness and continual tiredness. That is better now but it certainly still persists. I feel weak most of the time and need at least 28 hours of sleep every day or I'm worthless.

The big and exhausting issue I face now is catching up on the backlog of messages and trying to sort things out. As best I can tell, when I got sick I had some items up for sale but I had shipped everything that was promised. I know some inquiries came in after that but I need to see if any of those are still desired. I plan to try and spend at least an hour each day for the next few days getting that sorted out and then I will begin to post fresh items again.

I did receive an email asking me if I had anything left to sell. The short answer is yes. A more detailed explanation is that when I began this, I had 214 boxes. When I got sick, I had just started listing the 6th box. I have a ways to go so I will be posting for a while still. I think I am going to be giving away a few of the boxes to worthy local groups as well. I really do have to make a bigger dent in the pile.

Before I got sick, I was getting to the post office 2-3 times per week. I fear that is no longer practical, at least for the time being. I think I will only be able to get things shipped once per week. If something is time critical to you, please ask. I will expedite if I can but I don't want to raise false hopes. It seems that the local post office I was using closed down while I was shut down.

Again, I want to thank everyone for their past support. I'm going to re-post this message on YORF and then start trying to wade through the messages.

John-

Glad you are back but certainly sorry for the lingering issues you are having. Take the time you need to get well. I think anyone here will understand; I think we can be a patient lot when we know it is for a good cause, in this case, your health.

Be well and God bless!

Earl

Glad it was mild, John. Nice to see you back here, no worries about once a week post office visits. Life gets complicated for all of us at times.
